2 out of 5 stars a work in progress   August 23, 2010

Ok...I know one can't get much for that price [around $5.00]. When I received the devise the three bits that have to be installed in the devise were loose. The point is that I wouldn't trust scratching the back or side of my watch case with loose bits? The fix is simple; take the devise apart and insert some thin washers before and after each of the main 3 holders then screw [assemble] the device back together and add some oil or light grease to all of the parts.. What that does is tighten up the devise allowing some precision. If one cannot do this then I would recommend that one bypass these inexpensive devises and for the $60.00 and above units? The wooden box which holds the devise and 5 other types of bits is made of cheap wood and probably won't last over the months or years? The metal and construction of the unit is not for commercial use but rather for use now and then as necessary watch tool when playing with watches etc. Bottom line, I would buy one again knowing I would have to make the necessary upgrade.

4 out of 5 stars Does the trick.   August 19, 2010

The case wrench does what it's supposed to do. It's adjustable to fit a variety of watch styles and includes an assortment of bits for removing any watch cover, but I only need the one style it was fitted with. I'm only giving 4 Stars because the storage box I received isn't nearly as nice as the one in the product photo/description. In fact, it was falling apart. A dab of wood glue and a few tacks and it's as good as new. In any event, I suppose a broken box is better than having no box at all. I enjoy having the ability to service my own watches, and this tool allows me to do just that. I recommend this tool.

2 out of 5 stars If you own large watches ...   July 28, 2010

Beware!!! I should have read all the reviews ... It doesn't work on large watches.

5 out of 5 stars Indispensible for changing watch batteries.   July 18, 2010

I bought this wrench for opening the case backs on my two Seiko watches and it works fine. Now I don't have to take the watches to a jeweler to have the batteries changed. Highly recommended.

1 out of 5 stars Loose pins   July 15, 2010

As some of the other reviewers wrote, the pins on mine were too loose. As a result, the pins can scratch the case surface as they slip out. Oddly enough, I also had one pin on the tool that was very difficult to remove.

I threw mine out so I wouldn't ruin my watches. Looking for a more durable one today.
