She is in college, so she had to send it to me, due to paperwork, $13.00, I sent it to the company, $8.00, the company is sending a new one, I have to resend to my daughter, $8.00. I had to replace the one I burned out while traveling overseas (should have checked the voltage at the hotel before plugging it in!). They are great products, last a long time. I use it about twice a week, and had one die on me each year. I thought maybe it was just bad luck after the first time, and maybe even the second, but several friends of mine have had the same experience. I finally wised up and bought the Metropolis on Costco.com (only $63 too). it's wonderful! My hair is much smoother, and it has a temperature adjustment. Don't waste your money on a Chi.
