If you are about to deliver Buy This September 10, 2010 Carrie Cavender I was skeptical that these things would be any help after delivery..but boy was I wrong. I started wearing mine as soon as I got home from the hospital and within a week my husband even said my belly was going down much faster than with out first baby.
Its been 15 days since my daughter was born and I can already get back into some of pre-pregnancy stretch pants. It really does help with 'pushing' things back where they go. Its actually quite comfy and feels good to have that belly support after delivery too.
I started wearing it all day like 24 / 7 and now i only wear at nighttime while I'm sleeping.
It does run big as other reviewers stated. At delivery I was 5'6" and 202 pounds and a medium has worked fine for me.
I still have weight to lose and that will take a while..but at least I still don't look pregnant like I did after my first baby for about 4 months.
OK for price September 4, 2010 Mommyof3 I purchased this product to wear after the delivery of my third child. I put it on within hours of delivery and wished I had purchased one size larger. It was a little more snug than I had anticipated. I did however lose thirty pounds in the first week postpartum! I did not wear anything like this with my first two pregnancies and it took a lot longer for my stomach to even begin to look normal again. I am now three months postpartum and have not been wearing it everyday because of it curls. The velcro piece that is supposed to overlap and keep it snug is not the same width as the rest of the garment and contributes to the curling quite a bit. I have purchased a control tank top that I now wear over this girdle to keep it from curling. Great for when you are just going to be laying in bed recovering but not on an active day.
Seems this is good! But pricey!! August 29, 2010 D. George (NY, USA) My wife is saying it is a good product and it does what it was suppose to do. Only thing she cribs about this is it won't stay in place while sitting or sleeping. It's kind of shrinking upwards it seems. But overall it's good..
Postpartum Girrrrdle ( emphasis on gir :0 ) August 27, 2010 Brittany Richardson I purchased the correct size (my waist was a 32" about 3 weeks postpartum) but the product barely fit around me. It seems from other reviews that the bigger sizes run much to big, and I found the small size runs much to small. Eventually, as my stomach began to shrink on its own- without wearing the wrap, I was able to fit it around me. Problem is, it never stayed in place and bunched EVERYWHERE so that it looked extremely bulky under clothes.
Don't waste your money on this product. For only $55 on [...] you can buy the Flats Belly Wrap. They have 6 or 7 different size options and it's a true girdle, not a girdle belt. It works wonders and is much more comfortable!
Happy Slimming!
Not bad, not great August 20, 2010 amygross I ordered this girdle to use postpartum after a planned c-section. It took a couple of weeks before I could wear it comfortably and the first few days it was good. It does loose it elasticity but I just tightened it and had no problem. For the price I'd say it is worth it. I have washed it a couple of times and it still has maintained its shape. Worked well under clothing, not too noticeable but did create a funny back fat roll over the top. All in all I would recommend this for around the house the first month or so postpartum.
